For 30 years, FARAH Company has established itself as the leader in Tunisia in the processing of red meats and related products in Tunisia.

Our story began in 1991…

Having received their initial training from their father, Mr. Slaheddine Ferchiou, a senior Tunisian civil servant, the two brothers Mustapha and Sadri, fresh from Canadian universities, ventured into private entrepreneurship in 1991 by taking over an old family business named FARAH.

Young and motivated, they were determined to perpetuate the expertise acquired over four generations in the red meat processing sector. The two young leaders set about evolving and modernizing the production tools.

Since then, FARAH has equipped itself with red meat processing units, beef and sheep deboning and cutting facilities, and plants for manufacturing meat-based products, as well as a distribution platform for frozen products intended for professional catering.

In 2001, FARAH was the first Tunisian company to partner with the national upgrading program in its sector of activity, thus becoming the first red meat processing platform compliant with European standards.

Today, with a current capital of 2 million Tunisian dinars, the production plant is located on 2,600 m2, including 500 m2 of offices. The company has cold storage warehouses (700 tons), refrigerated warehouses (120 tons), and dry goods warehouses (100 tons). The fleet of specialized vehicles has grown to 15 bi-temperature refrigerated trucks.

To support its growth, FARAH recently acquired warehouses in the Ben Arous Industrial Zone, covering an area of 2,880 m2, including 400 m2 of offices, equipped with cold storage (700 tons) and refrigerated warehouses (100 tons).

FARAH has also implemented an integrated quality and food safety management system in accordance with the requirements of international standards ISO 22000 and ISO 9001. It holds sanitary approval DA-RB 0102.

Products for communities and individuals.

The company has established commercial contracts with the largest hotel chains, communities, and supermarkets in the country. It has formed partnerships with major international brands such as McCain Food International, which the company has represented in Tunisia since 1996.

A range of beef charcuterie products intended for professionals and individuals was launched in 2008: Salami, Bacon, Dried Meat, Smoked Sausages, Mini Sausages, Chorizo. The charcuterie products are labeled “Halal” with a certificate issued jointly by INNORPI (National Institute of Standardization and Industrial Property) and the Mufti of the Republic of Tunisia.

FARAH is also active in the trade of frozen products, marketing high-end frozen fries and vegetables, seafood, salmon, and foie gras.

The wholesale product catalog, including red and white meats for communities, delicatessens, supermarkets, restaurants and fast food, is available upon request.
